Temporary Food Service
Temporary food service applications must be received
by this Department fourteen days prior to the event to provide
adequate time for review and approval. A late fee
of $25.00 will be added to any temporary application that is not
received by this Department at least fourteen days prior to the event. Applications that cannot be
adequately reviewed may not be approved.
Temporary Events
Any temporary food event open to the public in Coles County may require a temporary permit. If that event is
held on the campus of Eastern Illinois University, a special permit is required. (See EIU Temporary Events below
for more information.) For events not on the campus of EIU, but in the county of Coles, submit a completed
Temporary Food Service Permit Application
(PDF File) to this Department. A
$25.00 fee is charged for the first event, and a $10.00 fee is charged
for each additional event with a limit of fourteen operating days. If you have any questions, please contact the Coles
County Health Department via email or phone at (217) 348-0530 or (217) 258-0530 Applications are not reviewed
until the appropriate fee is received by this Department.
